Jump to Slide on Tab Event
May 16, 2019
Hi,
I'm working with a system simulation. I'd like for the learner to tab out of the last data entry field and then have a trigger to jump to the next slide. Currently, when I tab out of the last field, it goes through the tabbing order on the screen before advancing. It seems the program needs something to tab to, and I've tried adding an extra field but still no luck. Side note: this wouldn't be a problem if you could change the state of a data entry to field, but states don't apply here.

Is the user entering anything in that last data field? You could set a trigger that when the user hits tab it moves to the next slide but only if that data entry field/variable is true.
If the user enters data in the field, you can jump when the variable changes.
Hi Leigh Ann,
You're likely seeing the yellow box when you begin tabbing - and that is an accessibility feature of Storyline.
You may want to look at using the conditions on a trigger as Walt and Randy mentioned.
