Keep Menu from Collapsing

Jun 10, 2020

Is it possible to keep the menu in view, not allowing the user to collapse it.

I have an 8 module course where I repeat the same information when they start.  It consists of 8 slides.  A reviewer would like to skip those slides - my suggestion was to use the menu.  But if the menu is not in view, they wouldn't think of doing that.

I know I can insert a slide to skip these slides, but I was just wondering if menu can stay up.  thanks.

Hi Norma,

Thanks for reaching out! It looks like you're using Articulate 360, and if so, you have two options in regards to your question.

Goal: Keep the Player menu from collapsing so that it is visible at all times.

1. Modern Player: Unfortunately, the menu will always be collapsible due to the user having the ability to open/close based on their preferences. What you can do is uncheck the Features option Sidebar starts collapsed to allow the learner to see the menu when they begin the course.

2. Classic Player: The Classic Player has the menu displayed at all times and is unable to be collapsed. If you'd like a simple method for keeping the menu visible, use this player.

I hope this helps clarify your options!
