Is there a way to change the keyboard incriments? Meaning, when you have an object selected you can nudge it around with the directional keys on your keyboard. I am assuming there must be a way because it used to move a fair bit, but since opening someone elses project it only moves about 1px every time.
I don't know how to set increment. but if you want to move very slight movement just grab CTRL+Left/Right , up/down arrow(Donot leave CTRL) of keyboard to move. It would allow an object to a very smaller movement. Hope this helps
I followed your instructions but how far my object nudges still didn't change. I put in a couple of different numbers (20px, 50px) and even set it to default and it didn't change anything except the grid itself.
*shame face* Ok I figured out why your instructions didn't work, I didn't have "Snap objects to grid" selected. That works now, thank-you all for the tips, this will definitely make things easier for me

The default nudge is based on your grid settings
and just to add on to what Phil says, this is where you can change them
Note that if you'd like, you can click "Set as Default."
