Keynote conversion--templates and fonts

Feb 19, 2014

Hi All:

I work for a company that is very Keynote and design centric. The creative dept. has had to create a special PPT template for me so that I can export the Keynote into PPT, then get it into Storyline. I have yet to move it over, but am wondering if anyone else has done this 2x conversion? Would it almost be better to simply copy and paste from Keynote into Storyline? Just don't want to face too many issues that may come with the conversions?

A related question: We have a specific color and font we use. I have managed to create a themes with the color set we want but can't find the font and cannot see a way to install a custom font. It's very important for our brand that I use this font. Can anyone tell me how to pull a custom font into Storyline?

Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

In regards to converting from Keynote -> Powerpoint -> Storyline, I haven't seen a lot of discussion about that, but you'll want to review the information here regarding importing from powerpoint to Storyline.

In regards to the fonts, if the font is available within Microsoft Word you should be able to access it within Storyline. If there are embedded custom fonts in a Powerpoint presentation,  Storyline does not support these embedded fonts when importing PowerPoint content.

If a font in the PowerPoint presentation is not installed on your computer, Storyline will apply the default Articulate font to the imported text.

To verify which fonts are installed in your system, go to C:\Windows\Fonts.
