Layer Backgrounds

Oct 15, 2020

Hi there! I am revamping a course that a previous colleague created (no longer with company). I am trying to update the look and feel and want to remove a busy background image on a series of layers that she created. I cannot figure out how to remove this image to have a clean white background.

There is not an image listed in the Timeline, I can't find it in Slide or Feedback Masters. I tried to add a new layer and the layers pop up with this background. Honestly I didn't know we could create "custom" backgrounds for layers. But anyway I want it gone, please help!

I have attached the slide in question.

Hi Gwen - just had a look. The image isn't on the layers, it's actually the 'fill' for the slide background. You can't see it on the base slide as there is a white rectangle covering the slide, but it's there.

If you remove 'rectangle 1' from your slide, you'll see the image. then right click on it and choose Format Background, and set the background to a solid fill rather than a picture fill.  Make sure you choose Apply to all so it applies to all your slides. Voila!

Hope this helps.
