I set a layer transition to one of the layers of a slide. when the user clicks on a button, the layer should appear on top of the slide, with the transition.
The layer transition is working on other layers of the same slide, but not on specific 1 layer. what could be the cause?
I have tried a couple like closet, diamond, random, bars, and fade. Each of these did work on the other layers. none of them work on the scroll bar layer.
I don't think this would be the case. I tried same and no problem with transition and scroll panel. I would just try deleting various elements off the layer to see if I could isolate the problem. Louise
Here is a sample in SL360 - not sure if I have same setup as you but it appears to work for me with random bars transition on both layers and a scrolling panel on Layer 2.

Unfortunately I can't, but this layer has a scroll panel in it, and the
other layers do not. Is this the issue?
Which type of transition are you using on the layer? and which version of SL are you using?

oh.. it seems that I made a big mistake in choosing the correct layer! thanks for your ideas, but the transition works ^^
