Licence issue - Licence Question

Aug 21, 2017

Good day,

I am the Technology Enhanced Learning Manager for a large educational establishment.  We use Storyline 2 for developing content rapidly from existing powerpoint slide decks.

I want to empower the SME to do this and before I purchase more licences, I want to wet their appetite and get them to have hands on the software.  Rather than getting them to download and run a trial on their personal machines and muddle through it, I want to issue them with a laptop with a trial version of the software on and attend a morning training session on the utility of the product.

Is it an acceptable use of the trial licence?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for asking. I don't see any challenges with that. When you download a trial, it'll require an Articulate ID for the purposes of downloading - but that doesn't need to be connected to the license when you purchase.

We no longer sell Storyline 2, so you may want to look at the options for Articulate 360 or Storyline 3. If you have questions about the cost/pricing or difference between those two options our Sales team is at the ready to walk you through it! You can reach out to them here.
