Link to Resources on Custom Fly Out Menu

Feb 11, 2016

I do not use the Storyline player -- it always completely turned off.

I am working on a project for which I will need to provide some resources.

How can I link to the resources in a custom menu?

Hi, Michele -- Many thanks for your question! In addition to the ideas Leslie shared, have you considered the possibility of Using Lightbox Slides as Course Resources in Articulate Storyline? You may also find some of the options presented in this older post to be of some assistance, as well.

Please let us know if you need more help!

What I want to accomplish is something like this https://community.articulate.com/articles/creative-menu-navigation-examples-for-elearning  or like this  http://www.stephanieharnett.ca/ and include a menu option that takes the user to resources.

I also want to add resources to the course WITHOUT turning on the player.

I'm fairly new to SL and could use some video tutorial guidance.

Hi Michele!

It sounds like you may be simply looking for an alternative way to navigate.

You can use shapes/images on your slides and add triggers to get where you need to go.

You can also utilize your hyperlink options here as well as linking to resources you've defined as explained here.

If you are looking at how to get started, we have a series of tutorials here.
