Localization Issues

Feb 24, 2014

Hello,

I have a system on our LMS design that when our clients create a new assignment they choose "Articulate Storyline 13" and then we process all the information that is uploaded and store it to a special location on our server.  This therefore I have all this working as according but the problem I am receiving is that the Localization that I notice are the language is translating, we create templates on our system and parsing the data.js, into XML, then processing every slide, and translating the data manually using our "Translation System" we have built.  Now making it easier and less time for our clients, as all they have to do is create their presentation and upload it.

Is there a way to turn off the path library, or make it so that it always uses the alttext/lmstext and or the 'title' of the slides, because we're not seeing translations on the slides due to the text being created via the paths.    Any idea what I should do about this?

Hi Benjamin,

Welcome to the Heroes community, and I'm sorry that you didn't receive a response on this thread, but it would not be something staff would assist with as you're working in a custom LMS.

In regards to this thread, I'm also unclear on what you've set up - but if you're creating templates that also would need to be translated, you can use the built in translation features of Storyline.
