Locked Menu - Controlling locked Mods when testing out

Dec 09, 2022

Hi everyone!  I have a course where I have the Menu locked so folks can't advance without viewing each page.  The client wants the users to be able to Test out of a Module.  I have a Test Out slide set up on the second page of Mod 2.  When they pass the test I have them jump to the next Mod. When I do this I am essentially jumping over those remaining slides in each Mod.  How can I unlock those slides without actually going to them? The image below shows how the menu looks when I jump to the next Mod. I want to unlock those last three slides in Mod 2 when we jump over them.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for the help!!!

Hi Russ,

Thanks for reaching out!

I see you've connected with my teammate, John, on this issue, and that you've submitted a feature request for the ability to unlock a slide based on an event. We'll be sure to update this thread should this make it onto our feature roadmap. If you run into any trouble in the meantime, please let us know!

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for the reply.

Do you know if perhaps the idea that Bryce Wescott presents in this thread would work and better yet how to get it to work? His is the third comment.

I’m really surprised that this is not a feature of SL. I have to take a LOT of different training ( Government work ) and there are more and more that offer testing out as an option. I have testing out built but the client really wants those pages we skip over to be unlocked.

Thanks,
Russ
