Mac V PC for new account.

Nov 14, 2023

Hello,

Two issues:

  1. Performance
  2. Compliance

1. I'm about to purchase a license for Articulate. I'm currently using a maxed-out (RAM and processor) 2018 MacBook Pro. I've used Macs exclusively in my career, but am concerned that I don't have enough muscle remaining to run Articulate on a virtual machine. Will the software run well enough to do solid eLearning dev on this machine, or should I pick up a Dell gaming laptop to get up and running?
2. Not ready to buy a new Mac but will be in the coming year. Will running it on two different machines be a license issue moving forward or can I transfer it later?

Thank you!

Hello Burnie,

Allow me to address each of your inquiries individually!

  1. As long as the Windows environment you have provisioned in your 2018 MacBook Pro meets the minimum system requirements needed to run Storyline 360, then you should be good to go. I myself am using a 2019 model MacBook Pro and I am still able to run Storyline 360 using Parallels without any issues.
  2. You can be signed in to Articulate 360 on up to two computers at a time, so working on two different machines is perfectly fine!

Let me know if you need anything else!
