Make objects NOT default to "Show until End" OR editing the timing of groups

Dec 14, 2021

I have the same questions as the person in this thread, but I thought I would start a new one since that thread is about a previous version of storyline.

I have some slides in my Storyline 360 files that are several minutes long. It's very tedious to insert an object meant to appear only in the first few seconds only to have to drag it back from the very end of the slide. I know you can right click and adjust timing of individual objects, but when you have a group of icons, each icon being a group of a dozen little objects, this is also not a great option.

Is there any way to either 1) make it so objects don't default to the "Show Until End" option, or 2) edit the timing of a group of objects all at once?

Hi, Carter.

While not currently a feature in Storyline, we have a feature request logged to change the default setting 'Show until the end of the timeline' when inserting objects.

I will update this discussion if I have any news to share or if this request makes it to our feature roadmap.

In the meantime, you can adjust the time of multiple objects on the timeline by selecting them with CTRL:

You can do the same with objects within a group:

I hope this helps!

Ok! Being able to adjust multiple objects is very helpful, thank you!
