Mark Buttons as Complete once clicked on/viewed

Hi everyone, hoping someone can help. I'm very new to Articulate and working on my first storyline.
I have created a menu page consisting on 6 buttons. When you click on each button it links you to another page to view a recording then automatically links back to the menu page once the timeline ends so you can work your way through the remaining 5 buttons. This is working fine. However, I would like the each button to read 'complete' once the user returns to the menu option. I've tried working with adding layers and changing states but seem to be doing something wrong as its not working.
Any help would be great! Thanks,
Lucy

Hi Lucy,
Are you able to share your .story file here with us so that folks can take a look at what you've set up? At the very least, you'll want to ensure you're using the slide property setting of "resume saved state" to ensure that the states change and you may also want to look at the trigger order as the order that they're executed in it based on the order.
Lucy,
I think this does what you want (and maybe some other stuff, too).
It has a menu that links to other layers, and one that links to other slides, and changes the original button when it returns. If I can help, just ask.
