Media file not playing when timeline starts...

Jan 06, 2016

I have an intro slide with a video on the baselayer. I had issues with preview mode and also published versions displaying no content.

I followed the steps provided for Windows 10. I verified Flash Player was on and also removed the security update in the settings. Then I reinstalled the Flash Player security update.

Now media will not start immediately. It quickly flashes my base layer background (which is set on the master slide).

There is a trigger set to play media when timeline starts. I added and removed it, then put it back again.

I also deleted the intro slide, and remade it again.

I toggled the media compression settings.

I have also cross checked older storyline published courses and previewed them in storyline.

We published a version on a Windows 7 computer and still the same issues. Its across every version.

I am also noticing, that sometimes when published, the html file still wont display content in certain browsers, meanwhile html5 will- and the video doesn't have the same delay issues in html5 but it modifies my custom graphics.

Any suggestion please.

Hi, Rob -- So sorry to hear of your issues and thank you for referencing that you have already gone through the steps listed here pertaining to recent Flash issues. To confirm, you are seeing this behavior regardless of the environment in which you are testing

It may be best if you work directly with our Support Staff to investigate the issue you are having more closely. I will go ahead and search our system to see if you have already submitted a case, and if not, I will go ahead and create a ticket and send it in on your behalf. You should be hearing from a member of that team as soon as they are able to review your case.
