How can I create the effect you see in this picture - the numbers in the menu on the left are 1.1,1.12, 1.28, etc but on the right they are 1,2,3,4 - all slides are in one scene. It doesn't make a difference whether the option is set to automatically numbering slides or not. I'm sure it's simple but I can't seem to get the result.
Josh - Yes I reset the menu. It doesn't fix the problem. The numbering on the left (in the player) is different than on the right (preview) and I can't get those numbers to change without manually adding them to the menu on the left.
I figured it out.... very unconventional.... here's how it was done:
1) added new headers - this creates 1,2,3...
2) inserted appropriate slides from project into each section (under each header)
3) deleted headers but kept children
result: the numbering is maintained when the headers are deleted as long as there are slides indented below each header... makes it look like each section was a separate scene...

Have you tried resetting the menu?
