Minimum Bandwidth

Feb 08, 2021

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a project who has 'limited' bandwidth on most of their sites.

Does anyone have any guidance on minimum internet speed to be able to view an HTML5 course. Is there anything I should take into account when creating the course?

Please share your experiences.

Thank you in advance

I would say things that would affect the required course bandwidth would include:

- Course resolution

- Use of graphics, video, audio

You can manually re-compress image files (and other media) after the course is published, to reduce load times even more.

I would also think that it would be best to break up slides so that there is less content on each slide. This will allow more time for the course to pre-load the next slide before the user advances to it.
