Missing Project

Hello...I am a new user of Storyline 2. I created a training module (not bad for my first one) and I initially published it to just a PDF to print a copy of it for review. After I did that, the entire module disappeared from my Articulate application, and is no where to be found on my computer. I was almost ready to publish the module to our e-Learning system, but the file has disappeared. Any idea what might have caused this or where it might be hiding? :)
Thx!

You may try searching your computer for any *.story files and see where it may have gone.
Yes, I did try that as one of the first things, but unfortunately it didn't find any. Thanks for your reply.
Are you working on your local computer or on a shared network drive?
My local computer.
I find it highly unlikely that you wouldn't have saved your project at least once while authoring. Articulate creates a "My Articulate Projects" folder in your computer's My Documents directory. Have you looked there?
Or in your Recycle Bin?
Correct. It was saved numerous times while working on it. That is the strange thing. I will look again where you suggest. Thank you.
Unfortunately, not there either. Thanks for your time!
In my computer search, it only finds the Word doc file of the module I created...but not the actual module.
The instructions given here may help you find a version to restore https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/is-there-any-way-to-restore-a-corrupted-sl2-file
OK thanks very much. I'll give it a shot.
Unfortunately, nothing there. Thank you though.
If you open Storyline you should see "recent" storyline files opened listed down the left hand side of the start screen, just under the new project options.
I'm assuming you don't see your missing project there, either?
That is correct. It is not there. Which doesn't make sense to me at all how it could be gone. It was there as I worked on it. It disappeared after I published it to Word. So now it only shows up on my computer as a .doc file. There is no .story file anywhere to be found. Thank you.
Hi, Donna -- Thanks so much for reaching out and so sorry to hear of your troubles! I appreciate that you have gone through all of the suggestions shared above, however it is possible that file may be corrupt beyond recovery. Perhaps our Support Engineers would be able to check out your system logs for additional insights, so if you would like to connect with them directly, here is the form you would need to do so.
Thank you for this information.
