Module doesn't Resume where I left off - Resumes 1 or 2 screens before

May 17, 2021

Hi,

This is my first post in this community. :)
I am currently working on an eLearning module, but the issue is that it won't resume where I left off. It always resumes 1 or 2 screens before.
So I have 5 screens : A, B, C, D and E
I quit the module on screen D. When I resume, I see screen C or B.
And it depends on which screen. Sometimes it resumes 1 screen before, sometimes 2.

Can you help me?

I asked a few experienced colleagues, and they don't know what is causing the issue.

Thank you for your help.

Hello Charlotte, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing with your published project file.

You are correct. It sounds like it may be the SCORM suspend data limits. Which SCORM standard did you publish your course for?

Hi All,

I have the same problem as Charlotte and I know the reason now, Thanks a lot!

And may I know putting the element in Master slide can solve the problem or not?

(If I put 1 element in master slide, I will count 1 element or 1 element for each slide?)

Also, may I know the state for the character will count 1 element for each state count 1 element?

Thanks!

Hi Katherine!

I'm glad this discussion has been helpful for you! I see that my teammate, Darwin, recommended reaching out to Charlotte's LMS provider since the course was behaving as expected in the industry-standard testing engine, SCORM cloud.

If you have an element on the Master Slide, it will show up on all of the slides that use that layout. Depending on the layout you're using, it could show up on each slide.

Keep us posted if you reach out to your LMS!

Hello Katherine!

Thanks for sharing those additional details. It sounds like you've tested a few things already to try and get to the bottom of this!

From here, I'm going to enlist the help of our support engineers to step in to see what they recommend as the next step, so I've opened a case on your behalf. So stay tuned, and one of my teammates will reach out in an email!
