I am using Storyline 360 for the creation of my Scorm WBT's. The LMS I use is ILIAS 7. Since some time I have the problem that I can no longer exchange WBT's in ILIAS. I get the following error message: Module not compatible! The imsmanifest.xml must be identical.
I have already discussed the problem with the ILIAS support. WBT's created with another authoring software can be exchanged.
I use Storyline 360 version 3.68.28887.0. Is there a bug with this version?
Hi Andreas. Unless anybody else has any ideas, I would find out from ILIAS exactly what "The imsmanifest.xml must be identical." actually means. It's an unusual error. What are you actually doing when this error occurs? Are you replacing an existing SCORM package and the LMS wants the imsmanifest file to be the same as the existing one. As I said, very unusual error and not one that makes a great deal of sense in the world of SCORM and LMSs.

yes this seems a special behaviour in ILIAS

and here the php source code: strcmp( ... ) == 0 means equal
storyline changed for every publish the names of the files, so the manifest is changed on every publish
=> so no chance for storyline courses to be updated in ILIAS
perhaps ILIAS has the function to upgrade (new manifest) - additional to update (same manifest)
Is it possible the user could download the manifest from ILIAS, and drop
into the SCORM package?
