I'm looking to slow down the speed of my motion path. I have an object off screen that floats across the screen once the timeline starts. The object moves too fast. I tried selecting slow, adding time to the duration and extending the timeline. What am I doing wrong?
It sounds like you've already done some troubleshooting here. Would you mind sharing the slide so we can take a closer look on our end? You can use the Add Attachment button at the bottom of the reply window.
I attached the file. I'm trying to learn Storyline 2 by recreating demo other's have already made. Heroland just blew me away. Here is what I have so far with the motion path.
Heroland blew all of us away, too! It's crazy impressive. I love that you're learning more about Storyline by re-creating other demos - that's one of the best ways to learn!
I took a peek into your file and made a few tweaks:
I moved the group (girl and balloon) closer to the left edge of the slide, but still off-stage.
I increased the duration to 5.00 - if you find this to be too slow, you can decrease it a little.
Thanks for the help. That worked great. The best way for me to learn is by recreating designs that inspire me. It fun trying to figure out how they were created.
I have a slightly different issue. I have text (a letter) that starts on the page slow, as I want it to, to give the users time to read it, however, it speeds up after the fist paragraph.
I've adjusted the duration several time, and changed the path speed to slow, but I can't get it to stop the speeding up. Any suggestions?
The slow to faster speed is caused by easing, one of the motion path options, which defaults to on. Turning it off will give you a constant speed, which you should be able to adjust by extending the duration.

Totally agree, Chris! So glad I could help!
This looks much better. Thanks again.
With music and everything...I love it! Nice work, Chris!

Thank you so much Walt. That helped.
