Moving an object with a motion path from behind another object to appear on top

Oct 31, 2017

I'm not sure if this is even possible but here goes!

What I'd like to do is ultimately move papers from within a file folder so that the papers (one at a time) come from inside of the folder and then move to sit on top of the folder. I "sent to back" all of my papers so that they are hidden behind the file folder. At a certain point in my timeline I'd like the papers to move out from behind the file folder to sit on top of the folder. There are 4 pieces of paper that I would like to move.

Is this even possible using motion paths? Is there another way to do this?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Sounds like a lot of work, but if you could move a paper out and set it down, you might be able to do it. While it is sitting still, replace the one on the bottom for an exact duplicate that is at the front.

The bottom one moves away from the folder and stops. An identical copy appears above it, and the bottom one disappears. The top one moves back to the folder, but now is above it.

It would work, but I don't know if you want to invest the resources that it would take to get everything aligned and timed correctly.
