mp4 file for Storyline

Nov 08, 2020

Hi All,

This is not a direct Storyline 360 issue but related. Our instructor has recorded lessons in PowerPoint slide (.pptx format). I am trying to convert these slides in mp4 file so that I can use those in Storyline 360. However, out of 40 slides, the recording of 5 slides did not come through entirely. All the 5 slides gets cut off at some point. I tried to troubleshoot but couldn't find a way to fix it. Has anyone faced this issue before? I really can't go back to the instructor at this point to request to re-record. I hope someone here can help. Thanks

Hi Manisha,

I have a quick question for you.

My apologies if I have misunderstood what you are trying to do, but why are you converting your PowerPoint slides to mp4 in order to use them in Storyline when you can simply import PowerPoint slides in .pptx format?

Hi Ned,

Thank you for the quick response. Importing the Powerpoint slides is the best and easiest way but in my experience, when I import the recorded PowerPoint, the font size changes, the slide numbers disappear and instead I see a "#" in it's place, some slides have timeline of the recording that displays longer than the recording.  Any idea how can I avoid or fix this?
