Is it possible to set more than one appear/disappear cycle for a single object? The only way I have found to do this is to duplicate the object and set one cycle on the timeline for each duplicated object.

Is it a constant cycle, e.g. show for 5 sec., then hide for 5 sec. and so on?
Different timing. For Example: OFF for 9 sec, ON for 3 sec, OFF for 5 sec, ON for 7 sec, then OFF.
You could set cue points on the timeline at these times and then add triggers that shows/hide the object whenthese cuepoints are reached.
