multiple questions on one slide

Oct 15, 2014

Any way to create multiple questions on one slide in SL2?  I'm not seeing it as a new feature, so I'm guessing not but wanted to check.

I want to create a survey that starts by asking a few questions just like Name, Company, etc. and then really get into the survey questions.  Is there a better way (like using text entry and variables), instead of Survey Text Entry questions, that would allow me to have several text entry questions on one slide?  I'd want that info reportable to Articulate Online along with the Survey results.

Hi Heather

here is a link to a thread that has quite a few comments about this — also some examples that might help.

And recently I received something I linkedin which I can't put my hand on right now about multiple questions on a quiz slide...will keep looking for you — not sure how the reporting side works though.

Thanks!  This has taught me a lot... but I haven't found my exact solution.  Most of these have to do with picking a correct answer, and my situation is a survey.

Slide 1 -- has 4 text entry boxes (with variables)

Slides 2-9 -- are survey questions from a question bank

Slide 10 -- results slide - want to submit the contents of the 4 variables from Slide 1 and the results of questions on Slides 2-9

How do I pass the variables as well as the survey responses to Articulate Online?

Thanks!

Heather

I actually got it working using this technique:  http://community.articulate.com/forums/p/13657/80329.aspx

That tutorial on passing variables looks good, though, so I'll make sure I understand it completely.

I thought it was odd the Question Bank didn't let me select the Results slide that was in the main project, but it did collect and pass the results, so I guess that's all that matters.

Articulate Online is not registering the last user selection in each of the Likert scale questions, but that's an issue I submitted a support ticket for.  Other than that, I think I'm set.

Thanks for all your help!

Hi Heather,

I see that in your case with Regil, in regards to the Likert scale he shared the following:

I have submitted your case to our Quality Assurance team for their review. The only workaround I can think of is to restrict the Likert Require field to User must answer instead of User may skip. In doing so, this will ensure that users will answer all survey question on Likert.

When we have additional information to share, Regil will be able to communicate it to you via the existing case you have.

I thought I had it figured out but it's still not working:

  1. I put each sub-question on a separate slide to act as their own questions for the marking scheme.
  2. I have blank correct/incorrect layers that only have the check / X on it.
  3. I created conditions for the selections made in the previous sub-question.
  4. Inserted a check / X on the next slide with a trigger to have it show up if the condition was met.

However... it's not recognizing the correct answers for the 2nd and 3rd sub-question.

I've attached it here... What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated!
