I have 3 slides within a scene. I want the transitions from slide to slide to appear as though the learner is swiping through the screens. Screen 1 swipes to the left to uncover screen 2. Screen two swipes to the left to uncover screen 3. However, I want the screens to swipe the other direction (cover from the left) when the learner goes from Screen 3 to screen 2, and screen 2 to screen 1.
Hi, Jessica -- Thanks for your question and do you happen to have a file started or a framework you can share so that your fellow community members can weigh in with their thoughts or ideas? And, I also wanted to mention for more design suggestions, you would be welcome to post your question over in our Building Better Courses forum, as well. Best of luck with your project! :)
Hi Jessica - I'm actually looking to create this exact effect and was wondering if you'd had any success in applying multiple transitions on one screen?
This thread is a bit dated and I'm not sure that Jessica will still be subscribed here and I do not see an update to provide you. You can try to reach out to the user privately via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile if you wish.
You are welcome to take Christie's advice above as well and share your .story file to see if someone in the community would be able to assist with your design.
Thank you Leslie - I've sent a 'Contact Me' request. Unfortunately almost all the projects I work on are under NDA so I can't share them, but thank you for taking the time to respond.
I am trying to do the same sort of thing. I would like to be able to mimic what I see in a Rise project that has buttons at the top and bottom of the screen. When the user clicks the bottom button, the screen transitions one direction. When the user clicks the top button, the screen transitions the opposite direction. From what I have tried thus far, you can only get one transition per slide. Any ideas on how to add transitions based on which way the user is navigating? Thanks.
Hi Darin, I was able to create something like this effect but it was not with transitions. In the end I used the fly in animation on two separate background objects, one coming in from the right and one from the left (you can do top and bottom too). I used a variable to identify which direction the user was accessing the slide (on the previous and next buttons). Depending on where the user was coming from one of the objects would be hidden. This can be set up on the master slide.
That sounds about right Darin - I haven't been able to locate the test I built with this set-up but the logic you've outlined there seems to follow what I did.

Thanks for the update Zoe :)

I hope this helps.
Zoe, thanks for the feedback. So here's what I got from your response:
1. Create a variable that keeps track of which direction you are coming from.
2. Create two separate background objects that reside in their own layers on the Master Slide.
3. Create triggers (on the Master Slide) that change the value of the variable based on whether the Next or Prev buttons are clicked.
4. Create triggers on the active slides that show/hide background layers based on the value of the variable.
Am I missing anything?
