My beginning slide is showing up at the bottom of the menu but still playing correctly

It sounds like the order of the slides are out of sorts. On the home tab, click the Player button and then the Menu button. 

In this view you should be able to adjust the order that the slide titles are show in the player view.

If you make changes to your menu and then decide that you want to reset the menu back to its original state, click Reset from story below the menu.

Resetting the menu does the following:

• Scene/slide titles revert back to the way they appear in your project.
• Indent levels will be removed.
• New titles that have been added will be removed.
• Original scenes/slides that have been deleted will be restored.

I had altered the slides and they needed a reset. Thanks your help.

I wish you could do the opposite... rearrange/rename the slides in the player menu and press a button and have all the slides in the Storyview rearrange.
