Hi. I'm launching a course using the HTML5 content created when publishing to LMS from Storyline. I have built my own forward and back buttons using triggers that Jump to (name of slide), not to "next slide" and "previous slide."
When I navigate to a slide that contains audio, video, or a Storyline animation, it plays fine the first time. But if I pass and then go back to it, the media often won't play. If I go back another slide, then forward again, the media plays. The slides are set to automatically decide whether to reset to initial state when revisiting.

Are you able to replicate this behavior when testing the content in SCORM Cloud?
Also, be sure that you are testing the content in a supported environment as detailed here.
