Need Help Showing Elements as Visited

Feb 04, 2016

The "homepage" of my course is an interactive flow chart containing 5 processes. When clicked, each of these processes takes the learner down a path and at the end, puts them back on the flowchart where they choose the other processes to explore.

When they return to the flowchart, I want to show the process they just learned about in gray (or "visited").

What is the cleanest and most efficient way to design my triggers to accomplish this? I'm looking at trigger options, and I'm not seeing any that are as straightforward as I'd like. Thanks for any suggestions!

The built-in visited state works really well on the slide it's on, but is not as reliable when you branch to other paths, especially if they have multiple slides.

The most reliable method seems to create a custom state, such as "Completed" and change its state with variables and triggers.

The attached file illustrates how that can be done.
