New Template not working properly

I have imported a new slide template into an existing Storyline 360 file, but when I apply it to the existing slides, the title (header) doesn't convert, even after hitting "reset" on the slide, I have to manually reformat every slide title. Am I missing something I should be doing?

Hi Kristin,

The first thing I would check is if the original titles were created using a template and "Click to add title" in the title block or if they were added manually.

If they were created using another template, when you import your new template and allocate the appropriate layout to your slide, the title should change accordingly. If the titles were originally added manually by simply inserting a text box, they will not change when a new template layout is used.

The other thing to check is that you have actually applied the new layout to your slides correctly. If you import a slide template, the slide that you imported will automatically be formatted with its new layout, but you will still have to right click on the other slides that you want to allocate new layouts to and then select the appropriate layout from your new template masters. If you have a number of slides with the same layout, you can select them all together and then apply the layout once. You don't have to do them all individually.

If you are still having problems, are you able to post a copy of your Storyline file (or at least a couple of the affected slides) here together with details of which template you are trying to set up? This would be a big help in solving your problem.
