Next Button Disabled until Buttons are "Visited"

Sep 17, 2018

I'm working on a software training video that has one slide that branches to two different scenes. Once reviewed, the video returns to the original branching slide. I have the Next button "disabled" when the timeline starts and to change to "normal" when the two buttons have been "visited".

I've also updated the branching slide to "resume saved state" when revisiting (though I have tried both ways - this and automatically decide).

I am missing a step as once the two scenes have been "visited", the Next button is still disabled. I've also tried rearranging the Trigger events but the button is still disabled.

On a side note, when I just view the branching slide and click on each button, the Next button does change to Normal. So obviously something small is amiss but I can't find it.

I've attached the slide in question with branching to two scenes. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing here?  Thank you in advance for any suggestions or resolutions.

Hi there Sharon,

You almost had it! You'll only need two small changes, and you'll be all set.

  1. Delete this trigger: Change state of next button to Normal when state of all of [Btn1, Btn2] are visited.

  2. Add a condition to this trigger: Change state of next button to Disabled when timeline starts on 1.1 Accounts on condition that Btn 1 is not Visited OR Btn 2 is not Visited

I've already made those changes in your file. Check out the attachment, and let me know what you think!
