I am sure this is simple but I am stumped... I am using free navigation in Storyline 360 with a disabled Next and then an enabled Next based on the timeline completing. Each slide also has a Previous button but if the Previous is used the Next never reactivates even after the slide time has elapsed. Each slide is set to advance by user and resume saved state when revisiting. Any ideas?
Too many ideas to be useful, without seeing the slides. One that might bear looking into is that the timeline only ends one time. If the slide resumes in saved state, the timeline doesn't end the second time. But attach the .story file here, and someone can look at it and find the real cause.
Walt's assumption is correct here. I took a look at your file and confirmed a bug we have reported where:
If you add a trigger to disable the next button when the timeline starts and set the slide properties to Resume Saved State, the next button will return to the disabled state when you revisit the slide.
I'm glad you were able to find a workaround as it'll help others who come across this issue, but we'll be sure to pop in here when a fix is in place.

Here's my story file.
So Walt,
I went ahead and just made the course restricted, deleted the state triggers, and everything works fine.
Thanks, Susan
I'm glad you got it, because I looked at it and couldn't find anything. I think the way you had it should have worked. Maybe an obscure bug.
