No expression choice available with characters

Hi Mark!

Are you selecting a Photographic character?

Try selecting a Illustrated - Modern or Illustrated - Classic character, and you should see the Expression option enabled.

Thanks for that image. Can you change the characters Expression or Pose after you've inserted them, or is it also greyed out? 

I haven't seen this issue either, but it wouldn't hurt to check the 360 Network Endpoints and Ports here are enabled and accessible. Those allow for access to all thing Content Library!

I found that if I choose the Classic ones, the download, expression and pose features work fine. Whereas with the Modern or the photographic ones, it won't. 

If I choose any of the options that requires download, it will fail - eg. Modern Illustrations, photographic characters and templates. No warnings, no error numbers, nothing but a big exclamation mark, which doesn't help. See image below.

Oddly enough, background photos work, but videos don't, they'll keep spinning the loading wheel forever. Also odd, I managed to download a character this morning, could change his pose and all. I thought the problem was solved, but then that was it, no other character worked, it was a one off time it worked.

We already have an IT guy on this but no solution at the moment.

Thanks for that image! The (!) icon typically is connected to needing to open up the firewall and ports listed here and that may be something your IT team has to do. 

I took a quick Peek of my downloading characters to show you what I'm seeing: 

• Illustrated characters who are already downloaded have access to the Character/Expression/Pose
• If you've not downloaded a character yet, you won't see the expression and poses
• Photographic characters will have the Pose where you can choose an emotion and/or style

Photographic characters will only allow you to choose a Character and a Pose (where you can choose a Positive, Neutral or Negative expression). Here's a quick Peek video at what that looks like.
