No sound in preview mode neither in timeline

Hi there,
My audio in Articulate suddenly decided to stop working. Friday everything was working just fine, this morning opened the computer and there is no audio in Articulate. Other programs work, I can here the sound for the same videos I am using in Articulate if I open them in a different player. Also if I publish the project and open the html file, I can hear it all. This makes me think it's an software error and make is difficult for me to get the timing right when I build up my slides.
I uninstalled Articulate and installed it back with no success in getting the audio back. Also tried what others suggested in different discussions still with no success.
Any help and suggestions will be much appreciated.

Hi Diana,
Sorry to hear that you've run into an issue with this.
It appears that the latest Flash update 27 (although there is now a new version 27 in Beta) changed how the audio settings would work for Flash playback. The timeline preview in all versions of Storyline and Quizmaker is Flash based.
We've detailed out some steps here on how to fix this for Flash, and this is a behavior our team is still looking at fixing in Storyline/Quizmaker so that you won't run into it again!
Hi Alyssa, thanks for this, I've spend hours trying to fix it.
Could you please clarify on that link that you don't necessarily need Internet Explorer browser. I run on Win 10, it was impossible to install IE, so I tried the steps in Microsoft Edge and it worked!
