NOT advancing to next slide after video finishes - please help?

It would be easier to see the file itself if you could share it here.

Judging by the screenshot you attached, you would need to change the object to the slide itself if you want to have the slide advance upon the timeline ending. If you wanted the slide to advance when the video completes, you would need to change the When event to "when media completes" and select the video as the object.

The trigger looks okay to me. By any chance, are you previewing the slide? You should preview the scene.

Do you have any other triggers set up to go at the same time? Sometimes the order of the triggers can have something to do with it not working.

You could also share the file if you would like us to look at the direct set up.

You can click on the add attachment button and browser for the file, you can also clip it down to just 2 slides, and then post the reply.

Guess what!! i deleted the last 2 slides and now everything works!  (1 test question & 1 results slide).  very odd "undocumented feature".  I'll be back if when i add back the 2 slides if the video fails.

HI Michael - can you add insert a test question after your video and have the trigger go to next slide once the video completes?  I'm thinking this is really an issue with the inserting of test questions?

HI Emily - i am thinking this is really an issue with the inserting of test questions and the triggers??  when i added the test question (multiple response) question then the slide prior to the question slide will not go to the next slide.  I added a blank slide after the video - the video slide advanced just as expected - added the question slide - the blank slide did not advance :(

I just made a quick test file, and using the trigger to jump to next slide when media completes did work when using a quiz question as well as a blank slide.

You may want to look into the steps here if you still have issues and cannot attach the file.

If you are trying to attach the file to the email response, you will be limited to your email providers limit but that option will not share the file here in the post. You can go directly to the post and use the add attachment button, or if you need to send it privately, try this link here.

Also, when replying in the email, your signature will show on your post. You can edit that to remove it.
