I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the player set up, but it sounds like something may have occurred during your install of Update 5. Can you please follow the troubleshooting steps outlined here?
Hi Ashley, speaking of the notes tab in the player, is it possible for the learner to print out their notes after they have completed the course? Thanks! Joyce
The notes tab on the player is connected to the slide notes when you've created the course - and I don't know of a way to print it. If you're referring to students/users who have entered notes as part of a text entry or essay style question, you may want to look into the "print results" feature of a Results slide or the community thread here on using Javascript to print a window/screen.
Ashley, so far I put a "Print" button on the page and used the java script for it. I was able to print the current page of the course which is also what I was looking for. I just don't know what I will do for printing the notes on the notes tab of the course.
Glad the print button with the Javascript is working for you - for the notes tab on the player, there wouldn't be a way to put a button on it so that a user could print it, so I'll have to defer to the community on other creative examples or ideas they may have.
I followed the instructions provided by Joyce. I uninstalled, ran the registry cleaner, re-installed. Still has my old player settings. Can not get the notes to appear in the player.
I believe you're referring to the troubleshooting steps I shared with your originally? Have you tried to change the player settings in a new file or are you working within the existing file you had? Please let me know if you're still not able to make any changes to the player within a new file. If everything works in a new file, you may want to try importing your existing Storyline project into a new project.
