I'd like to extend the standard numeric question so that it is possible to connect specific feedback to incorrect answers. For example 'your answer is to low, you problably made the mistake of dividing .... to .....'. Did anyone change the numeric question in this way? And if so, how did you do that, and may be I am permitted to use it?
Hi, Aike -- Thanks for reaching out with your question, and welcome to the community!
It may be easier for members of the community to weigh in with ideas and suggestion if you are able to share your file to illustrate what you have in mind. And for additional ideas, you may also want to post over here in our Building Better Courses forum, as well.
Hi Leslie, Christie Pollick advised me to post at te Building Better Courses Forum, of course she's right. I'll do that next time. Or may be you can move this discussion to that forum. If that's not possible I'll go on at this forum. Thanks for your example! You added two layers, to show - according to the typed number - the responses 'too low' and 'too high'. I understand the principle. I copied the slide, in order to add an extra layer. The question at the copied slide however does not work, so there must be a problem. Until now I can't find what it is. Nevertheless I changed the question in order to show what I need. I changed the text of the question first, so that the wrong answer '0.05' represents a typical fault/mistake. And I added a layer with the condtion 'equal to 0.05'. With this layer I will be able to offer specific feedback when the student types 0.05. What remains is: what is the problem at slide 2? Why does it not work after copying the slide?
Ah, I see. When I copy a slide the variable is automaticly changed into a new one. And in the triggers I'll have to change to the new variable. Makes sense. Thanks very much. I'm developing a course about statistical concepts, like relative risk. Lots of numeric questions/quizzes.

Hi Aike!
I put together a rough example of what I understand you to be asking.
Check out the attached file.

Hi Aike!
Your variable is different. On slide two, you still have the triggers set to NumericEntry, but it should be NumericEntry1 :)
I'm re-attaching your file.

Glad to assist Aike! Good luck with your course.
