Open-ended text fields with non-English characters

Apr 05, 2016

I am creating a course in multiple languages and there will be several open-ended text fields for user input. Is there anything I need to do to set up those text fields so the users can enter text in their native languages (not all languages will use English characters.)

Hi, Lou -- I appreciate the clarification, and you know, that is a question I can't say I have encountered previously, so I am reaching out to a few of my colleagues for their input. In the meantime, do you happen to have a file you can share? Please upload here or if privacy is a concern, you are welcome to use this form to submit for confidential review.

And, may I ask if you have gone ahead tried to enter Chinese characters in a text entry box during testing if you that was the language you selected from various language options at the start of the course? I would imagine as long as the learner has the language they need to use installed on their machine, it should work, but I will need to confirm.
