If you're looking to use one font within the Flash and one font within the HTML5 that is not something built into Storyline - and if you were looking for ways to edit that within the published output I'd have to defer to the community as it's not something we could offer support for.
Please let me know if I"m misunderstanding or if there is anything else you need help with!
Sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks for coming back to clarify!
Fonts that you use on the slide themselves are embedded onto the page and should display normally for Flash and HTML5. You may find that fonts applied to variable references in your published Articulate Storyline 2 output aren't the fonts you expected.
Fonts can't be embedded in published output for variable text. As a result, default system fonts will be substituted for variable text. Default system fonts may be different for each computer, tablet, or smartphone where your content is viewed.
Similarly if you were to create a project with that font and send to another user the .story file to open and edit, if they don't have the font installed it won't appear within their set up either.
I'm not sure I'm clear on what you mean - post publish or in the Flash output vs. the HTML5? Unfortunately for either of those would a no - or at the least not something I'm able to offer support for.
In Storyline 1 and 2 if you use a font to develop a course this will be shown to a user as intended in both the Flash and the HTML5 content you do not need to do anything for this to happen. However if you use variable references these will not display in a non-system font but will be substituted this is the same for both flash and HTML5 content.
Have you tried that font and run into difficulty? I don't see why it shouldn't work as expected, but I did a quick test with three different text boxes. The first is just standard text, the second included a reference to a variable and the third was a text entry. I set them all to the Trebucht MS font (the only one named that I had installed) and a font size of 20. I published for LMS and uploaded to Tempshare so that you can view here - this link goes directly to the HTML5 output. Both the Flash and the HTML5 looked right - and since I have the Trebucht font installed I was able to see it as a part of the text entry as well.
If you're running into difficulty we'll want to know a bit more about what's occurring and likely take a look at your files to investigate further.

Hi AS,
I'd refer back to the information I shared earlier here.
Sorry to bring up an old thread but have been looking for a solution similar to AS's problem.
I have a third party font which I am using in a slide, in Flash output the slide and font appears absolutely fine. But in HTML 5 output the font defaults to Arial (or similar) if the user doesn't have the font installed. So it doesn't see to be embedding. Using Storyline 2 with latest update. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hello Pete - Sorry to hear that you ran into an issue with this as well.
Are you publishing and sharing the content as explained in this documentation and having the user view in the intended environment?
Is the text a variable reference or in the same text box as the reference perhaps?

No apologies necessary! When you're using the HTML5 output in Storyline 2 - a few things I'd want to check: are you testing the published output in one of the browsers here? Did you upload it to your LMS/web server or are you viewing it locally? Both of those could have an impact with how the fonts are being displayed. If you're following along with those and still having an issue - could I get a look at the .story file in question and a link to your published output? You’ll want to upload the .story file here (which is the file prior to publishing) using the “ADD ATTACHMENT” button at the bottom of the forums reply window. mmmh ...
Is there a way to integrate subsequently a different font (for example, via HTML)?

Thanks for your help - But what if someone has this font is NOT installed on his computer?
Only in references will it be substituted and there is no way round that at present otherwise it will display as you intended.
Hi AS,
I'd refer back to the information I shared earlier here.
I was hoping for a solution outside of "storyline 2".
For example, a font embed subsequently via HTML.
There is no issue with fonts in storyline 2 (except with references) so doesnt need a solution

Although this isn't supported, you can use external fonts for HTML5. Check out how I outlined how to do this in this thread.
