Parallels with Windows 7
Apr 15, 2013
Hi all,
I have just purchased a new MacBook Pro with retina display. I am running windows 7 & parallels 8.
When inserting characters, shapes etc in Storyline they are somewhat distorted & unable to be viewed in their entirety.
I read in another post that Storyline won't play with retina display, however I would be interested to hear what workarounds have been successful for others.
Cheers,
Brad

Hey Brad!
It's more likely an issue with the DPI setting within Windows. Storyline will function as expected when Windows is set to 96 DPI (dots per inch).
Storyline doesn't currently support 120 DPI. If your system is set to 120 DPI, you may experience erratic behavior, such as:
* Elements of the application are misplaced or distorted.
* Objects are misplaced or distorted when previewed or published.
* Zoomed images don't work as expected.
* Font sizes are incorrect after using the translation features.
Here's how you can switch to 96 DPI. Let us know if that resolves it...
HI Brad
I have the same mac book + 2 iMacs.
I use VMware Fusion alownig me to run both operating systems at the same time. I also alows mirroring between the two OS. Best investment across all Mac devices You may consider calling VMware desk support to find out if there is a conflect. I have had zero problems.

Thanks Peter & Grady - problem sorted.
Parallels have also posted a solution here - http://kb.parallels.com/en/114694.
Nice! Thanks for sharing that, Brad. I'm sure it'll come in handy for others in the future
