Passing a Variable
Hello,
Can someone help me with the functionality of passing a variable.
The user will have to choose 1 out of 5 scenes, read the materials in that scene, then they will Acknowledge they have viewed that scene material.
My question is on the Acknowledge slide at the end, I want the name of the "scene" the user picked to be in the Acknowledgement text.
I have included a mock-up of the functionality of the course.
Thanks in advance,
Tom

Hi, Tom,
Passing a variable is easy. You adjust the variable's value on one slide, then show and/or use that value on another slide.
Because you want to reference the name of a scene, use a text variable. An edited version of your file is attached. I named the variable SceneChoice.
On the slide for choosing the scene, I added triggers to each of the buttons. Those triggers adjust SceneChoice so its value is the name of the selected scene. The image below shows one of these triggers.
You already had the right idea on the Acknowledgement slide. Just insert a reference to the variable where you want the name to appear.
