I have created a module which include an assessment. I have set the passing criteria to 80% and want the completion status to reflect “complete” only when the 80% mark has been reached. If the learner achieves a score lower than 80%, it should reflect “incomplete”. Can you advise which of the following 4 settings I should select to achieve this please?
Happy to help! We normally recommend choosing Passed/Incomplete or Passed/Failed. These options are most likely to record both completion and success statuses in your LMS. You can read more about LMS statuses here:
Since you want to record an Incomplete until the course is passed, I would focus on using the Passed/Incomplete option, but would also encourage you to build your course in a way where if the learner fails, they are forced to retry the quiz until it is passed.
You can do this by editing your Results page to have a retry quiz button in the Failure layer. I hope this helps!
