Pause/Play Button Stops Imported Audio
Feb 22, 2013
Hi All,
I have built a course with no seekbar. The client still wanted to have a play/pause button on-screen. I created the play/pause button using layers and "pause base layer".

It works fine on a computer, HOWEVER, when played on an iPad HTML5, the pause button works and the play button works but after pausing and re-playing, the imported audio for each slide no longer plays...until it gets to the next slide and then the audio kicks back in. (To be clear, I can pause the course but when I click play the audio is gone until the next slide.)
Does anyone have any suggestions? (Worst-case-scenario, maybe a different approach to pause/play?)
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for posting, Keith.
We actually just got this issue logged yesterday, and our engineers are looking into a fix and workaround now. I'll update this thread as soon as I hear something. Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.
Thanks for the quick reply, Peter!
In the meantime, we will use the Articulate iPad Player where it seems to work just fine!
Thanks, Keith. Have a great weekend!
I have the exact same problem. Has there been a resolution to this yet? This is a pretty big bug that causes a lot of problems if it can't be fixed.
Hi CK,
It looks like we're going to be able to have this fixed in time for the next update, though we don't have a specific date for that update yet. My guess is that it won't be too long.
Thanks for the info. I'll be standing by anxiously waiting for the latest update...although my timeframe is short so hopefully it's pretty soon.
Is there an ETA on when the update will be available? Several courses on on hold until this bug is fixed.
Hi CK1,
I'm sorry, I don't have a specific date for you, but please be sure to enable the "Check for updates at startup" feature in Storyline to be notified when new updates get released.
Thanks!
