Pause timeline when Pausing Videos
Jun 04, 2014
Hi Everyone,
I am in desperate need of a way to either, Disable the viewer’s ability to pause and play video playback in a slide or to make it so that the entire timeline for that slide stops when the video play back is paused.
I am playing a video in which some information must be censored (account numbers ect.) and I have been able to do that with shapes entering in at specified times. However, if the user pauses the video play back the shaped appear and disappear at the incorrect times since the video playback and timeline are no longer aligned. PLEASE HELP! Thank you in advance for your help and support.

Hi Albert - welcome to Heroes!
If you would like to disable the learners ability to click on the video to pause and play, the easiest way would be to add a shape with no outline and 100% transparency fill on top of the video. The 100% transparency fill is the important bit as if you make it no fill, the learner will still be able to click on the video 'through' the shape.
I hope this helps
