Pausing Layers

Hello Fellow Storyliners,
I am using a tip someone provided awhile back to build a custom play/pause button on the slide itself. I put a "pause" layer on the master template which is what the play/pause button is showing/hiding to toggle the play/pause on and off. I have the pause layer checked to pause the timeline of the base layer.
My question - is there a way to pause the timeline for a layer on the slide? With the functionality above, it simply pauses the base layer but does not pause stuff that is playing on an additional layer. Is that not possible? Obviously I can use the built-in play/pause functionality but we don't want the scrollbar and that's an all or nothing option.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Buehler? Buehler? =-) Anyone have any ideas on this one? The developer working on it keeps hounding me if I've heard anything.
Sorry, Jamie. I haven't seen or found a way to do that yet. Feature request?
Thanks for the reply - I'll add a feature request.
I'm facing the same problem. Thanks for adding the feature request. I'm resorting to using additional slides instead of layers so I can keep the pause button on the master. Unless someone can come up with another solution...
I think you need to update the settings for each layer.
1. Select the layer
2. Click on gear icon
3. Change Allow Seeking to "Yes"
