PDF not opened IE9 or Chrome
Feb 25, 2015
Hi,
I have a PDF file of some 300 KB, which I attach in my project through 'player' functionality and then publish the project. Earlier, all was going fine, but after a recent change in PDF version (which exactly I'm not figure out), the attached PDF files are not opening after publishing the same and the new opened window says 'No File Found'.
However, when I tried to do the testing with MS Word or Excel, file same problem persists, but when the size of attached file is minimal like 50KB or so, it does work and file opens without any error.
Does anyone has idea what went wrong or how to crack this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi IPC,
I'm not sure I understand the issue - you're not able to open large files, or any files? Are you testing the published output within the intended publish environment or locally? Have you relinked the files within your .story file prior to publishing?
Have you checked in the external files folder to see if the files are being put into your published file?
The files are properly linked to the .story files & in fact I'm able to open the files which are small in size like upto 50KB.
Update: The issue has been resolved now. The problem was occuring due to use of one special character in the title of attached file. So, just renaming the attached file sorted our the problem. Thank you everyone for your inputs :)
Hi IPC,
Thanks for the update. You'll see information here about file names and paths for your project and accompanying files - you'll want to steer clear of special characters, accents, symbols, etc.
