In my project, I'm displaying a PDF file in our server using the Web Object and the quality of the file is noticeably lower. I have opened the PDF file directly using the URL and I don't notice any quality loss. Does anyone have any idea on why this is happening?
Thank you for the response. Attached is a side by side screenshot of the pdf. As you can see, the one on the left is pixelated while the other isn't. Not really sure why this is happening. I created a test project with different aspect ratio (16:9) and the same issue occurs.
+1 from me as well for this to be more urgent on the roadmap please, I have seen threads on this from 3 years ago now. I'm not sure why the quality goes way down when a pdf is displayed as a web object, it makes this feature unusable in its current state.
I had a look at the scale implementation of web object - they scale the wrapper around the webobject twice - first with width and height (which is technical correct) but the wrong values - than they fixed the problem with "transform: scala(1.xxx)".

Hi, Al.
Thank you for reaching out!
I'm happy to help you investigate what's causing the pixelation on the PDF! Can you share your .story file or a screenshot showing the differences?
You can share it privately through a support case, if you prefer.

Do we know if there is a fix for this? It looks like Jürgen identified the issue (Thanks Jürgen!).
Do we know if this is a storyline problem or a browser issue?
Also, Jürgen - when you say "they scale the wrapper" are you referring to Articulate, or the web browser?
here a patch for the webobject scaling problem with a javascript trigger

and here integrated in story.html / index_lms.html
