"Pick Many" interaction with locked correct answers

Hi everyone!
We're looking to simplify some of our commonly used interactions. This is a "pick many" question, where the correct answers turn green and stay checked regardless of the attempts, while the incorrect answers turn red. I think there must be a simpler way to do this, and we'd really appreciate your insights!
I'm providing a stripped-down sample file and a demo review link. (I promise we'll make it look better than this eventually.)
Options 2 and 4 are incorrect. And I just noticed we have some wonky hover states in the checkboxes, but that I can fix. ;)

Thank you very much!

Hi Mandy!
Thanks for reaching out!
Would you mind clarifying which type of changes you are looking to make to your Pick Many setup? I'm sure that our knowledgeable community would be able to provide insight or suggestions for re-designing your interaction!
Sure! What else would you like to know?
The correct answers need to turn green and stay checked regardless of the attempts, while the incorrect answers need to turn red. Right now, we have a complex system of locks, feedback, checkboxes, and text boxes. We're hoping to find a more streamlined solution. Thanks!
