I would like to have students submit a course objective and a module objective and then have storyline grade if the module objective is aligned to the course objective. Is there a way to do this? See my attached story so far.
Sure - you'll just want to set it up to check that the value of the first text entry is equal to the second. Likely a pick many question should suffice for this, take a look at what I set up on your file.
Thanks for providing an example. I wondering how I can verify that the TextEntry value is equal to TextEntry1. How can I tell Storyline what is "equal"?
Perhaps I'm not understanding what you're trying to do - but in the example triggers I set up, Storyline is checking that what the user entered in the first text entry and becomes stored as a part of that variable is the same as what is entered in the next text entry and stored in the variable. It's up to Storyline to check that the two are equal to each other. You could also set it to say equal to a particular value and then you'll need to enter in that value as a part of the trigger - but since you're comparing two variables, it's easy enough to use the variable as the equal to element.
Hi Ashley, the functionality seems to be a move in the right direction. However, the text that is entered in TextEntry and TextEntry1 are not necessarily equal. Essentially, once the user inputs text into TextEntry, then there is a limited number of text (2-10 words) that would be considered "equal" in TextEntry1. Is there a way to set up something for TextEntry1 to be a any one word from a set of 2-10 words which are based on the word used in TextEntry?
Thanks Nicola for clarifying further what you're looking to set up. You may be able to compare it to a set of text if you were to have those variables stored in Javascript or something similar. Unfortunately that's not something I am equipped to assist with, although we have a number of community members who are Javascript gurus so I hope that they'll be able to jump into this thread to offer assistance. You may want to begin by reviewing the best practices here.

Thanks Ashley! I hope one of the Javascript gurus will consider answering this question.
