Does anyone have any information on the default tab order of the buttons/functions in the Storyline Player (v2 update 6)? Looking for this relative to 508 compliance and also wondering if this tab order could be modified. Thanks.
You can indeed change the order and naming of the tabs.
See attachment 01
-When you select the player button in the right top screen, you open up the player settings
-Here you can change the order with the two little arrows, you can see how it changes on the right side(the preview panel)
For the color adjustments, see attachment 02
-If you click on Colors & effects, followed by clicking on Show advanced color editing, you can manually change the colors of each element of the player.
Once you're satisfied you could save this profile, so you can repeat it in other programs.
OK, so I do understand how to control the tab order of slide objects, but is there any similar control over the player itself. That is, for example, the tabbing from the prev/next buttons to the menu/notes/glossary tabs to the resources menu etc. through the controls of the player There is a default order, but can it be changed?
It doesn't seem that Neil's question was answered. I'm wondering the same. Can you change the tab order of the player controls? Currently, the default tab order (for keyboard accessibility) of the player is Prev > Next > Topbar Right > Volume Controls > Seekbar > Sidebar.
Suppose I want to change the tab order so the Next button is the first navigation option a user can Tab to. Possible, or not?
There does not seem to be a way to skip elements that are located on the master slide. Those elements are grayed out. I would suggest that we should be able to skip those as well.
You can turn the visibility of objects on master slides on and off to accessibility tools Dave, the option is just kind of buried within a different menu when you're in Master Slide or Feedback Master view. Click on the object whose visibility you want to change and then go to Format > Size > Alt Text (instead of using the Tab Order button as you might usually do).

I just realized that you might of meant the order of the "TAB" key while using your keyboard, my bad!
To set this order, see the attachment.
Thank you. I should have said "tabbing" order, so I'm glad you picked that up. Thanks for the replies, I'll check out the materials.

Hi Fiona!
You're right - it was missed.
You can't customize the tab order of player navigation elements, but you canskip them when you're tabbing through a slide with a screen reader. This information is in this tutorial.

Hi Dave!
You are welcome to share your thoughts with our product development team here.
Correct, you can only skip the entire player. I'll add a feature request. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing Fiona :)
That is so cool! Thanks for finding that Fiona. You are my hero for today!
Nice sleuthing Fiona!!
Hi Dave,
You can eliminate items from a slide master by doing the following steps:
Thanks! Short cut: Right click the object and choose Accessibility (Storyline 3).
