playerhead not working in layer to align cue points
Sep 14, 2015
Hi i'm currently working on a course where I have multiple layers and when I try to align the cue point in the layer (base layer works) by playing the playhead it doesn't work. The playhead just stays at the 0 sec mark.
I've tried moving the playhead forward in the audio and when I click play it going to the 0 sec mark. I've never seen this before. However, when I preview the slide the audio plays.
I've tried inserting a new slide with my audio and it does the same. I've tried a new project and still not working.
I'm not sure if you have any suggestions to help me with this problem.
Thanks.

Hi, Priscilla -- thanks for your question! Could you please provide your file so we can run some testing on our end? I believe this may be a known issue, but I would like to check into it more closely to be certain.
Hi Christie,
Thank you for your response. I've attached a file with only one slide. We've tried multiple things to resolve the issue but it not working.
Thanks for the file, Priscilla! I will check it out shortly and let you know what I find. :)
Hi, Priscilla -- Thanks for your patience while I checked out your file. It looks like if you click on the gear icon to access the Properties on each slide layer, all you will need to do is uncheck the "Hide objects on base layer" box in order for the audio to play on each layer. Please see the screenshot below and let me know if you have any further questions! :)
Thanks Christie for your feedback. Is this new, I was able to in the past hide the base layer and still move the playhead and mark my cue points. Do you know if in the next update this will be fixed?
Thanks again for all your help

Hi, Priscilla - My apologies, but we are not able to announce product roadmaps or release dates for new products/features or updates. You are welcome to share your thoughts on features you'd like to see by submitting a feature request here as those go directly to our product development team.
Hi Priscillia,
It does look like the base layer elements are still hidden when you unselect that (as you can hide them in the individual timeline as well) but just that you'll need to unselect that to be able to use the playback set up.
